Jackery Explorer 2000 v2: what it runs, and how it compares

The Explorer 2000 v2 holds about 2 kWh, twice a 1 kWh model, and supplies 2,200 W. It keeps a modern fridge-freezer, a router and two phones going for roughly 17 h to 2.5 days. When we checked, Currys had it at £765, down from £1,399 and £434 less than the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max. It can't take an extra battery: the Explorer 2000 Plus v2 is the one that can.

Buying through our links costs you nothing extra. Some of them earn us a small commission, and that's what keeps Survival Bunker going: it pays for the time it takes to keep our picks and figures up to date. Thank you for helping. How we choose and how we earn.

Our estimates from the sizer, as a range from heavy to light use, allowing for the energy lost in the power station itself. A modern fridge-freezer uses 0.4-1.5 kWh a day depending on the model and the weather. Not lab figures; try your own list in the sizer.

Its 2,200 W limit covers a fridge-freezer, router, TV, lamps, laptops, a microwave and most air fryers. It won't run a typical 3 kW kettle. Jackery gives the peak as 4,400 W, which helps with the start-up surge of a fridge or a pump.

Explorer 2000 v2, 2000 Plus v2 or 2000 Plus?

Three Jackery models have "2000" in the name, and they're not the same thing.

If 2 kWh is enough, the 2000 v2 is the value choice. The Plus v2 makes sense if you might add batteries later; we haven't confirmed its current UK price.

What testers found

These are findings other testers have published, credited with links. OutdoorGearLab tested the US model, which has three 120 V sockets rather than two UK ones.

  • OutdoorGearLab measured 1,710 Wh out, 84% of the rating, a charge time of 2.5 hours and a weight of 38.9 lb (17.6 kg), on a unit it bought.US 120 V model, November 2025
  • TechRadar ran a laptop through a three-hour power cut, and 25 minutes of an air fryer took about 20% off the displayed charge (a sample supplied by Jackery).UK model, September 2026

Good points and drawbacks

Good

  • The price: £765 at Currys when we checked.
  • OutdoorGearLab got 1,710 Wh out, 84% of the rating.
  • Charges from the mains in 103 minutes, or about 80 minutes in Emergency mode, by Jackery's figures.
  • Long-lasting LiFePO4 cells, rated for 4,000 cycles to 70%.

Drawbacks

  • Two UK sockets, so you'll probably want an extension lead.
  • 17.5 kg by Jackery UK's figure (its EU help centre says about 17.9 kg), with no wheels.
  • No extra batteries, and solar input tops out at 400 W.
  • Warranty terms to confirm: Jackery's help page for this model lists three years plus a two-year extension (automatic from Jackery's shop, by registration if bought elsewhere), but its general UK policy says 24 months. Ask the seller.
